Do not underestimate the power of music education in shaping a young student’s perspective on the world. Music education teaches children what it means to be excellent. When learning an instrument or learning to sing, one is always striving to reach higher levels of excellence. Whether moving up a scale or increasing range and speed, students who study music are more likely to apply this same work ethic to other academic subjects.
